Jonnie Peacock was victorious in his first race since striking gold at last summer’s Paralympic Games.

The Doddington athlete (pictured) won the IPC men’s 100m T43/44 event at the Great CityGames in Manchester.

The Cambridge-based London 2012 champion had returned from injury to record a time of 11.46 seconds and beat American Blake Leeper.

The 19-year had not competed since having an ankle operation after he sensationally took 100m gold in September.
