Last weekend Wisbech Town Hockey Club held their annual Summer 7’s festival.
This year saw the festival expand for the third year running with some teams travelling over two and a half hours to Wisbech.
Local teams including Long Sutton (the Abusement Park) also entered into the festival for the first time.
As well as two days of hockey, the players also enjoyed a silent disco, where each person has their own headset with a choice of three different types of music, a beerpong tournament and fancy dress disco.
The weekend was very successful in raising money, over the bar especially, for WTHC’s much-needed clubhouse restoration.
WTHC would like to thank its main festival partners, Horsepower Clothing and Iceni Water. A final thanks also to all festival committee members, who put in many hours in preparation for the event as well as over the weekend, and also to all participants of WTHCfest15 - as without the players the club would not be able to start the planning for WTHCfest16.
