Wisbech 1st 3, Bury 4

Wisbech suffered a second successive defeat after Natalie Ward had scored to put them in front after just five minutes.

It looked like it was going to be Wisbech’s day. However after a slip up in defence, Bury St Edmunds equalised and then took the lead with a penalty flick and then led 3-1.

On the stroke of half time Wisbech were awarded a short corner, for which all 10 outfield players pushed forward and it was centre back, Sue Slator, who smashed the ball into the back of the net.

With minutes to go, Katie Dunn scored her first, first team goal much to the elation of her team mates, but in the last minute Bury took their chance for a winner. Alysha Moat (pom). Wisbech travel away to Watton this week.

Wisbech 2nds 5, Oundle 3

Second placed Wisbech took the lead in the first five minutes and always held the upperhand.

Goals came from Lou Sandall, Laura Overland, Jo Beacham 2 and a superb conversion from Emily Brown.

Wisbech lost their captain Lorraine Parker early to injury but this did not affect their performance. Sophie Culshaw was pom.

Next match home to Rutland November 3.

Wisbech 3rds 2, Bourne 3

Wisbech lost out to two late goals after Victoria Obey and Daisy Woolmer had scored.
