Letchworth 2
Wisbech Men 1

Wisbech came away wondering how they didn’t win, let alone draw, at top of the table Letchworth.

Plenty of short corners came and went with Sam Blunt converting one of them, but they couldn’t convert any more chances.

Dan Martell was impressive on his return and Gary Freear also had a good game.

Man of The Match: Ben Tarratt. Wisbech welcome City of Peterborough Men’s 2nds at 3:30pm.

Wisbech Men’s 2nd 2 Ely 3

Wisbech welcomed undefeated table toppers Ely City to Harecroft Road and were unlucky to at least not get a draw.

Wisbech controlled possession for most of the first half but failed to capitalise. Ely scored twice.

The second half followed the same pattern and Tim Atkins netted twice. Both sides were reduced to 10 men. MoM: Matthew Pooley. The 2nds next week travel to Louth for a 3pm game.

Ely 2nds 4
Wisbech Men’s 3rd 5

A must-win game against the team just below Wisbech in the table.

A great start in the first 10 minutes with clinical finishing from Richard Claxton and Eliott Peck.

Other goals from Eliott Peck two and Johnathan Boyall.

MoM: Pete Shippey was awesome at the back holding the Ely onslaught at bay.

Wisbech take on City of Peterborough Men’s 6ths next week, 12:30pm push back.

Wisbech Men’s 4th 0
March 2nds 8

Bill Garner made some great saves in goal.

MoM: James Hodgkinson and Charlie Bateman. Next the 4ths travel to Spalding Men’s 4th at 3:30pm.

Wisbech Ladies 1
Cambridge City 2nd 2

Wisbech started positively and took an early lead through Charlie Paine after a well worked attacking move.

Unfortunately from here on in Cambridge were in the ascendency and the Wisbech shape fell apart. Cambridge netted in each half.

Wisbech take on second spot Norwich City next week away at 1pm, where they hope to get back on track.

Wisbech Ladies 2nd 1
Pelicans 4

Wisbech were pleased to take the lead midway through the first half. Sam Pritchard latched on to an excellent cross from Jodi Peggs, smashing the ball first time into the corner.

Unfortunately Wisbech didn’t maintain this advantage long.

PoM: Alice Salmon edged out Lorraine Parker. Next week: second placed Cambs City 3rds at home, 2pm.

Wisbech Ladies 3rd 1
Alford 2nds 2

Having held the team of nine off in the first half the women entered the second half motivated, an attitude reflected in an astounding goal by captain Shelley Coleman.

Unfortunately the opposition bounced back stronger than ever.

PoM: Esme Atkins. Wisbech take on Skegness Ladies away, 3pm push back.
