Mat McClure led the riders home once again in the Wisbech evening ‘10’ cycling series on Tuesday, improving by a minute over the week before with a 21.59.
Second was in-form rider Stuart Emmett recording a pb of 23.06 for the course with Andrew Ward third.
On Wednesday Denese Hallahan travelled up for the Hull RC event on the course where Bradley Wiggins rode in a howling gale and still managed to take the British 10 mile record.
The weather was kinder this time and she recorded a season’s best of 26.20.
Denese was racing again on Saturday in the Team Cambridge Open ‘10’ but her pace dropped slightly to 27.52. Emmett improved his PB to 22.54. Adrian Whiting recorded 23.39.
On Sunday in the Fenland Running Club Duathlon two riders, out of the racing scene for some time, were invited to partner up with runners.
Wisbech Wheeler Carl Murley teamed up with runner Sean Connelly for the overall win and his wife Becky Murley joined runner Ellen Drew for first in the ladies and fourth fastest overall.
