This coming weekend will see Cambridgeshire play Warwickshire at the GER Sports Club in March in the BDO Premier Division Inter-County Championship.

And included in the Warwickshire squad is Trina Gulliver MBE who won the BDO Ladies World Championship at Lakeside earlier this month for an incredible 10th time.

The Ladies World Championship started in 2001 and Gulliver won the title from 2001-2007. She was then runner up in 2008 and 2009, before adding titles in 2010, 2011 and 2016.

Warks also include Jamie Hughes, who is third in the BDO World Rankings and was a semi-finalist at the 2016 Men’s Lakeside World Championship. Last weekend he won the Romanian Classic title for the second year running.

Meanwhile, Cambs’ own Martin Adams won the Dutch Open on Sunday for a record breaking fourth time. This is the biggest Open in the world and Adams took the title in a field of more than 2,000 players.

The match itself sees both counties in good form. Cambridgeshire have won their last three matches. Fifth-spot Cambs go into the match six points behind Warks.

As usual the B team matches are played on Saturday and the A team on Sunday. Both days start at 11am and entry is just £4 per person, payable at the door on either day – the £4 covers the whole weekend.
