The girls qualified for the regional tournament having finished second to Perse School in the county championships.

The College’s Ruth Russell said: “It was a fantastic achievement for the girls to reach the regional finals after working really hard to get to this level. After a very long journey they conducted themselves in a truly sporting manner on the day and I was very proud of them.”

The results were: CCC v Kesgrave lost 7-4; v Norwich High lost 8-3; v Bedford Girls lost 11-4; v Southend lost 11-2; v Broxbourne lost 19-4 (national champs); St Clares won 12-5.
