England aces aim to pocket a master class

Five players from Wisbech are away in Bridlington playing for England from Monday until April 2 in the World Masters.

Darren McCarthy, Mark Hughes, Eric Mohhammed, Scott Chambers and Andy Lucas have been selected to play against Ireland, Southern Ireland, Wales, Scotland, France, Northern Ireland, Shetlands, Spain and Gibraltar.

Chambers is the England captain now for his second tournament. Lucas has played for 14 years, McCarthy 13 years, Chambers and Mohhammed seven years, and Hughes four years.

McCarthy plays for and is sponsored by the Venue pool and snooker club in Wisbech.
