It was a bad weekend for Chatteris Cricket Club with all three teams losing.
The first team were surprisingly beaten by 50 runs by bottom of the table Barrington and slip to second in the table,
The home team started well seeing off the opening bowling, and it was spinner Dom Platt who made the breakthrough in the 14th over but Barrington went on to reach 191, which looked a competitive target.
Best of the Chatteris bowlers was Dom Platt 2-27 from 11 overs, which included five maidens.
When the chase got underway it was a woeful batting display by Chatteris, with only two players making double figures, and extras being top scorer with 35 in their total of 141.
The seconds lost by five wickets at home to Sutton and remain just outside of the relegation places in CCA Junior 2A.
Once again it was the batting that let them down, apart from a solid 52 from Malc Perry.
Chatteris were looking at a very low score having just 119 on the board with just six overs left, but a brilliant undefeated 45 off just 25 balls from 16-year-old Cam Brown, his highest score in senior cricket moved Chatteris to 166-8.
The home bowling attack never really got going and Sutton chased the target down with seven overs to spare, best of the bowlers being Kriss Brown 1-16.
Chatteris thirds had to hand over the win as they were unable to raise a side for the second week running, and now they are firmly cemented to the bottom of the table.
