Wisbech Town lifted their first-ever Jaidka Cup after beating Bourne in the final by 32 runs on Wednesday last week.

Wisbech set 152-9 in theor 20 overs with Bradley Perrett scoring 36 and Simon Freear 29.

Gary Freear 4-1-17-3 and Craig Johnson 4-0-18-3 were outstanding in Bourne’s 120-9.

Wisbech skipper Alan Burton said: “I was very happy with a good performance as we beat a Premier League side.

“Gary bowled well and it was a good first trophy for the club. We hope it will the first of many more.”
