Wisbech’s cup defeat

Wisbech Town crashed out of the Jaidka Cup on Wednesday night with a 10-wicket defeat against Peterborough Town at Bretton Gate.

Fielding a much weakened side, Wisbech scored just 109 all out with Gary Freear hitting a very impressive 66 before falling to a superb catch on the boundary. He was the only Wisbech batsman to reach double figures.

Peterborough had few problems scoring the required runs with Cambs openers David Clarke 65 not out and Alan Burton 30 not out reaching 110 with 25 balls to spare.
