David Wood enjoyed a very good weekend with the bat for Wisbech Town as he figured in another big partnership on Sunday to help his side to a 204-run win against Market Overton in Rutland League Division Two.
Wood scored 147 not out and and with Simon Freear hitting a very good 102, Wisbech reached 335 for two wickets in their 45 overs. Sam Albutt 38 and James Williams 23 also contributed.
Brad Apted was the pick of the bowlers taking three for 18 with Dom Stannard two for 21 as Overton were bowled out for 131.
It has also been a good week for the club’s junior side with five wins.
The under 14 team beat Stow by 86 runs.
