More than 100 local boys and girls aged between 6 and 12 attended the ninth three-day Sports Festival held at March Town Cricket Club on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday last week.
Coaches offered children the opportunity to learn and practice numerous sports as well as cricket: mini hockey, boxing, squash, athletics and softball, all in glorious weather.
On Thursday evening the children collected their goody bags which included a Fenmarc baseball cap, medal and certificate. Also attending were Mayor of March Andrew Pugh and Mr Ian Groome (Olympic torch bearer).
Club chairman Les Mills said: “I would like to thank all the coaches and the numerous volunteers for all their hard work. Plus thanks to the sponsors.”
