Call for budding talent in March

Another March has Talent contest is being staged and auditions will be taking place later this month.

Young People March is working in partnership with Fenland arts 20 Twenty production and Roddons, part of circle housing. Roddons will be the sponsors and Wendy Coles, community and projects officer (Community Development/Neighbourhoods) will be supporting staff and volunteers

to run the event.

Fenland arts will be supporting and promoting the event. Shannon Barrow, from Fenland arts 20 Twenty production, will be the compere.

YPM first staged March has Talent in November 2007 and the event was really successful with its winner, Amy Peart Webb, now a very successful talented singer.

YPM is encouraging young people to participate in the planning and organizing of the event.

A variety of talents is welcome and people can take part individually or in groups. It aims to provide young people with the opportunity to show case their talents helping them to increase confidence and self esteem.

Everyone involved then can proceed to develop their creative and social skills, make positive contributions to their community and improve their wellbeing.

The event is open to young people aged seven to 21years who live in March or surrounding areas.

Roddons circle housing will be providing the prize money of £100 for first place and a trophy, £50 second prize and £25 third place.

The event auditions will be held on August 18 and 22 from noon till 3.30pm and on August 29, from noon to 3.30pm and 7.15pm to 8.15pm.
