West Norfolk businesses and organisations are being encouraged to put together teams of employees to take part in the Fit4Work Rounders Tournament.
Following on from the success of the Fit4Work Games in March this year, The Borough Council of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk have teamed up with Active Norfolk again to stage a rounders tournament for local work places.
Shelley Starkings, the Active Norfolk Co-ordinator, said: “People have played rounders since Tudor times. For many years it has been a popular game within schools and many of us have memories of playing the game when we were younger. The rules are easy to understand, and men and women of any age can play in each team. It’s a really great way to have fun and get fit, as well as bring in a bit of healthy competition between the teams.”
The Tournament takes place on Wednesday, 18 September, 6pm until 8pm at Lynnsport, King’s Lynn. The cost of entry is £10 per team with all equipment and umpires provided. Each team should consist of 6 to 9 players, mixed teams are welcome. There will be prizes for the winners and runners up.
