A volunteer friends group, which raises funds and awareness to help life-threatened children and their families, has organised a special Jazz and Soul Concert for charity.
The members of the Peterborough Friends of EACH hope the concert on Saturday June 8 will not only raise funds but also raise awareness of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) across Peterborough and the surrounding area.
The concert will feature the Uppingham Jazz and Soul band, a community band.
Beccy Turner, EACH Cambridgeshire Fundraiser, said: “I’m delighted the Peterborough Friends of EACH are organising this concert. It will be a fantastic evening and I’m looking forward to see the band perform. As a local charity, we rely on public donations, and need to raise £15,000 a day, every day of the year. Funds raised from the concert will really make a difference.”
The charity concert is being held at St John’s Church, Cathedral Square, Peterborough at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10, which includes a drink and a ticket for prize draw. For tickets or more information contact Pat on 01733 253733 or Anne on 07763 457524. Tickets will also be available to purchase on the door.
