An Evening of Dirty Dancing is returning to the Corn Exchange in King’s Lynn on 16 June and the producers have announced that students from the Backstage Academy of Performing Arts have once again been invited to join the cast and perform live on stage.
The show’s producer Paul Spicer said: “We’re delighted to have the students join our cast for the second year running. They’re a wonderfully talented group and they’ll have an invaluable experience working with our group of West End theatre professionals. If you love the movie, you’ll love our show.”
An Evening of Dirty Dancing is a sell-out spectacular originally directed by Matt Firth (RSC) and choreographed by Leanne Harwood (Mamma Mia!, Footloose). Dirty Dancing boasts a great movie soundtrack with songs including: She’s Like the Wind, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Hey Baby, Wipeout, Do You Love Me, Be My Baby, Hungry Eyes and (I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.
Fame the Musical and with the world famous Royal Shakespeare Company. Stephanie Ticknell-Smith recently played the role of Bridget in A Slice of Saturday Night. This production marks her UK touring debut.
