Tuesday June 25 marks the 25th anniversary of Woman’s Circle at Terrington St John.

It was founded on July 1, 1988, by a group of 12 women whose aim was to meet once a month for a social evening.

The group has grown over the years to a membership now of 34 - four of the original founder members are still attending, Jean Poole, Pam Hardy, Susan Clayton and Diane Goodrum. The current age range is from 36 to 80 plus.

The group has a varied programme of events from speakers on topics such as patchwork quilting, flower arranging, card making, bee keeping, the work of the air ambulance etc to enjoying meals out, ten pin bowling and visiting places of interest.

At the end of June is a Strawberry Supper which is based around strawberries but also other food is available and provided by the club. This is also the AGM.

The Christmas social is an evening with food, which is provided as an American Supper by members.

New members are welcome and if you are interested in attending, meetings are held on the last Tuesday of every month at the Methodist Hall at Terrington St John at 7.30pm to 9pm, refreshments provided.

Speakers who would like to give members a talk are also welcome. Contacts are Shirley Martin on 01945 880067 or Diane Goodrum on 01945 880811 or just turn up on the night.
