Get ready for the Waterlees Words Festival at Wisbech on March 16.

This special event will be held at Orchards Primary School in Cherry Road from 10am to 2pm and promises lots of activities and the chance to speak to authors and illustrators.

Children aged four to seven can learn how to make pop-ups with author Robert Crowther - an activity where you need to book your ticket through the Orchards School office. Children’s books illustrators Marion Lindsay and Steve Smallman will be on hand to chat to visitors and adult authors Chris Godwin, Drew Kinayle and Terry Martin are also due to attend.

Listen to “Creaky Knee Story” with storyteller Andy Hawkins.

The mobile library will be on site with rhyme and story time and other attractions include a bouncy castle, soft play area, Easter tombola, face-painting and family craft stalls.

Bring a picnic or buy refreshments. The event is part of the Waterlees Community Literacy Project and supported by Cambs County Council.
