The Under 15s and Under 16s will play before.

The celebrations also include side stalls, bouncy castles, face painting and refreshments.

In the evening there is a ticket-only get-together with a disco, karaoke and bar. Doors open at 7pm. Tickets are first come, first served, £3 for adults, £2 for children under 14, under fives free.

To add to this special year, Wisbech Town Acorns has received the Chairman’s Award for the Best Club from the Peterborough and District Youth League.

Mark Brighty received the award on behalf of the club and said: “At the Peterborough Youth league AGM our club, represented at U15s, U16s and U18s, were commended by the League chairman as a well-run and friendly club and the League secretary for good communication and fair play.”

Acorns have also launched a new website: www.wisbechtownacorns.co.uk. Vice-chairman Kelley Lewis said: “As a community organisation which started out in 1993 with funding through the Crime Prevention Trust, we have grown and developed over 20 years. Putting nothing but time and dedication as volunteers into the development of our players, we have worked hard on our own internal policies, equality, bullying, safeguarding children and the FA respect programme to ensure that we are one of the friendliest clubs around.

“Anyone who has been involved with Acorns over the past 20 years should take credit and join the celebrations.”
