Roll up, roll up the fair’s in town.
Yes Wisbech Mart was officially opened on Friday by town Mayor Samantha Hoy who went along with colleagues from the town council.
Sam said: “I love the fair, it’s one of the highlights of the year. I had a go on all the rides, except the Ghost House because unfortunately I don’t like confined spaces.”
While she was at the Mart, which is located in Chapel Road car park and the Market Place, stall-holders presented her with two giant cuddly toys for her mayor’s charities.
The fair is in town until Saturday night. It opens daily at 6pm, and at 2pm on Saturday. Tomorrow (Thursday) is the cheap night, when all rides are just £1, with the exception of Altitude which is £2 per person and the dodgems, which is the same price.
After Saturday the fair will pack up and move to City Road at March for a week.
