Animal rescue charity opens shop in Walsoken
The founder of an animal rescue centre was praised for her hard work when a new charity shop was opened in Walsoken.
Caroline Trigg, who founded Ravenswood Pet Rescue five years ago, along with Shelley Ridgeon and a team of committed volunteers, has officially opened the charity’s first shop at Bambers Garden Centre.
MP Steve Barclay officially cut the ribbon on the shop and thanked them for going above and beyond the call of duty to help team up unwanted animals with forever homes.
Ms Trigg, Fenland Council’s dog warden, set up the non-profit making rescue in a bid to stop healthy dogs being put down when they are left unclaimed from council dog pounds.
