Another electric bike seized in Wisbech as part of police crackdown on illegal vehicles

Another illegal electric vehicle has been seized by officers in a bid to crack down on getting them off the roads.

Officers from the Wisbech Neighbourhood Policing Team seized a Surron electric motorbike in the town centre yesterday afternoon.

A spokesperson from Policing Fenland said: “These kinds of bikes are being ridden illegally, anti-socially, and are causing a concern for public safety.

“These types of vehicles are not road legal unless properly registered, insured, and ridden by a licensed individual.”

Officers encouraged members of the public to report these vehicles online or by phoning 101.
