Arrest following attempted robbery at Murrow newsagents
A man has been arrested in connection with an attempted robbery at a Murrow store.
The arrest follows an incident at Pollingtons Newsagents and General Store yesterday morning.
It has been reported that a masked knifeman demanded cash from the till at around 10.45am before being chased off by the owner.
The man was arrested yesterday afternoon in connection with the attempted robbery and also in connection with the theft of a vehicle in Peterborough.
Reporting on the Facebook page Fenland Police said: "A search of his home address also uncovered another suspected stolen vehicle.
"He remains in custody at Thorpe Wood station."
