One of Europe’s top banjo players will be taking part in a festival later this month.

Upwell Methodist Church will be holding a Festival of Food and Flowers on Saturday and Sunday, March 28 and 29.

The church and gardens will be open on both days with coffee bar serving refreshments.

A craft fair, light lunches, along with a music workshop will be held in the church on Saturday. The church is open from 10.30am to 4pm.

Banjo player Sean Moyses, along with ukulele group Teddy’s Boys, will be taking part in a musical variety show on Saturday from 7pm.

Tickets, including a buffet supper, are £8 in advance or £9 on the door. To book tickets contact Jane Hurst on 01945 588282.

Sunday’s activities start with community hymn singing at 10.15am with the Palm Sunday Service at 10.30am. A Songs of Praise will be held at 2pm.

The event is being held to raise money for church funds.
