Be a friend to Ring’s End

FENLAND District Council and Cambridgeshire County Council are looking for volunteers to start a new Friends group to help them look after Ring’s End Nature Reserve, near March.

Residents from March and surrounding villages are invited to join staff from both authorities on a ‘walkabout’ around the reserve tomorrow, starting from the car park off Twenty Foot Road at 10am.

During the walk, their views will be invited on how to improve the management of the site and what the aims of the Friends group might be.

This will be followed up by a meeting on May 22 (7pm to 9pm) at Fenland Hall, March, to prepare a plan to projects for the reserve and form a committee to take the group forward.
