SECRETARY of State for Health, Andrew Lansley has signed up as a member of Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust’s aspirant community Foundation Trust.
Victor Lucas, Chairman, of the Community Services NHS Trust said: “We launched a public consultation on January 5 to become one of the first community NHS Foundation Trusts. Central to this is a membership predominantly made up of local people and staff who would have a major influence on how we provide health and social care to children and adults in the future.”
The Trust’s consultation document, together with details on how to become a member, respond to the consultation or find out more about what NHS Foundation Trust status means can be found at www.cambscommunityservices.nhs.uk
A public meeting to find out more about the proposals is at The Rosmini Centre, Queens Road, Wisbech, on March 10 at 6.30pm to 8pm.
The consultation ends on March 30.
