Fire crews tackle Chatteris blaze

Fire crews tackled a fire in a building above a workshop in the early hours of yesterday (Tuesday) morning.
Crews from Sutton, Manea, Chatteris and Ramsey were called to the blaze on Doddington Road, Chatteris at 3.53am.
Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used a hose reel and jet to extinguish the fire. A positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear the smoke.
Two casualties were out of the building on arrival and crews returned to their stations by 6.30am.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
