March will be looking bloomin’ lovely thanks to the hard work of volunteers.
Members of March Street Pride and In Bloom groups have been planting up troughs, hanging baskets and three-tier planters at Delfland Nursery.
They were also joined by four members of staff from CUB, the March-based energy consultancy firm which has helped to plant daffodil bulbs, and five staff from AmeyCespa.
The plants will all be in place around the town at the end of this month and should be at their best in time for the In Bloom judges’ visit on July 7.
Rebecca Robinett, Fenland District Council’s Street Pride coordinator, has praised the volunteers for their hard work.
She said: “It was great to have all the people from CUB and AmeyCespa along to lend a hand. They all said it would be nice to see the flowers out in town soon and know that they helped to plant them up.”
