A food expert from Wisbech has been awarded an OBE in the New Year Honours list, which was published a short time ago.
Dr Patricia Mucavele, head of nutrition for the Children’s Food Trust, has been recognised for services to children, families and charity.
The trust, whose headquarters are in Sheffield, campaigns to ensure all children have access to healthy foods.
It supports people preparing food for children and lobbies industry to do more to ensure families make healthy choices when it comes to what to eat.
Dr Mucavele is among almost 1,200 people to have been honoured in the list, which also includes the North West Norfolk MP Henry Bellingham, who has been knighted for political service.
Famous faces in the list include Barbara Windsor, who has been made a Dame, and record-breaking jockey AP McCoy, who has been knighted.
