Councillors have turned down a request to buy a bus shelter for a supermarket.
Wisbech Town Council was asked to use section 106 money to install a bus shelter outside the Tesco store in Cromwell Road.
But members turned down the request at a meeting.
The £10,000 cost for the shelter was also considered too high.
Leader David Oliver said: “I propose we don’t pursue this as I think it will be a substantial cost to the council over the years and it should have been delivered when the development was put in place.”
