Meadowgate School in Wisbech is developing a new and exciting curriculum for final year students aimed at preparing them for the next stage of their lives when they leave.
Firmly focussed on developing life skills through a more practically based curriculum, it has led to the development of its vocational programme.
This term, Year 14 students are undertaking a course in Introductory Vehicle Technology, run by a qualified mechanic and based at the school’s new garage workshop in the grounds. Local car dealer Eddie Boyden generously gifted a car to the school two weeks ago for pupils to work on.
A spokesman for the school said: “We would like to thank Eddie for his kind donation which will be a crucial resource for the students.”
