DIY proposal kit for women this Leap Year

FENLAND’S men will be ducking for cover this Wednesday – Leap Day – after a Wisbech town centre store revealed it has put together a ‘99p DIY Proposal Kit’ for love-struck women.

Wednesday is Leap Day (February 29th) – the day women are urged to traditionally propose to their men.

UK value brand 99p Stores on the High Street in Wisbech town centre said its ‘Romance Kit’ comprises of five items for under a fiver of five items – including a ring.

The other four items are: a 99p bottle of plonk (non alcoholic but it looks like bubbly) to celebrate, pack of wine flutes, eight packs of confetti and for those planning a fast honeymoon getaway two his n hers passport holders.

A smiling boss of 99p Stores Hussein Lalani, who has just got engaged himself and who has rolled out the kit across the brand’s 178 UK and Ireland stores said: “Who says you can’t buy love – it’s now yours for 99p.”
