Any local business involved in selling or handling food can get expert advice on how to improve their health and safety management at a free forum being organised by Fenland District Council next week.
The council’s environmental health team is running the forum at Fenland Hall, County Road, March, on Wednesday, March 12 (9.30am-noon).
Each business can send two delegates and places are free. The event will include talks on effective health and safety management and what steps are needed to ensure a safe workplace both for employees and customers.
Councillor Peter Murphy, FDC’s Cabinet member for the environment, said: “All sorts of people work in the food and catering trade and it’s obviously vital for everyone – staff as well as consumers - that the highest standards are maintained.
“It’s one of many challenges that local businesses face and bringing them together in this way has proved very successful in the past. So I hope many people will take advantage of this offer of free help and advice.”
