Former champion boxer and Fenland celebrity Dave ‘Boy’ Green proved a big hit when he officially opened a revamped Chatteris business.
Dave cut the ribbon at Chatteris Osteopaths in West Park Street on Saturday. The premises have been given a facelift under new proprietor Lee Harvey, who took over the business in December. The three treatment rooms and reception area has been given a makeover.
Chatteris man Dave, a former light weltherweight champion in the 1970s, spent time with staff and visitors who came along at the open day to take a peak at the changes. He signed a pair of boxing gloves which were one of the raffle prizes on the day and donated two signed copies of his book. The raffle raised around £150 for research into Alzheimer’s disease.
