A face and body artist from Wisbech has been featured on the front cover of an international industry magazine.
Kelly-Jane Erkin – better known as KJ – has been given the honour of having her artwork grace the cover of Illusion magazine’s summer issue.
She had no idea the quarterly magazine was going to use the picture she had sent in of a model painted as a pink cat, carrying the tag line ‘Wild About Cats’.
This was the first time KJ had plucked up the courage to send in a picture, making her front cover spot even more remarkable.
KJ started doing face painting 13 years ago and never dreamed that her hobby would turn into a full-time business. With her partner Dan Catt, they set up KJ Entertainments and KJ turned her back on a NHS career in 2010 so she could devote more time to the business.
They can be regularly seen at the Horsefair fun days, as well as events in the Vancouver Quarter, King’s Lynn.
