BLOOM and Wake Ltd electrical contractors has been awarded a major contract by G’s Growers Ltd for the electrical design and installation work at the company’s new, state-of-the-art mushroom farm near Littleport, Cambs.

Outwell-based, Bloom and Wake Ltd, which employs over 60 electrical operatives, have started work on the contract and anticipates the project lasting about six months. Bloom and Wake Ltd will manage the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the high-voltage electrical distribution at the site, as well as all general power and lighting requirements, which will comprise largely of energy-efficient LED fittings.

Commenting on the company’s latest project win, which is valued to be around £900,000, John Wake, managing director of Bloom and Wake Ltd, said: “Given the on-going difficult trading conditions which continue to see decline within the private sector of the construction industry, we are delighted to have been awarded such a large contract.

“Due credit should go to the dedication and expertise of our in-house design and estimating team who have worked very closely with the client for over 12 months to ensure we met their precise requirements.”
