Busy Sixteen Foot Bank closed after four vehicle crash

The Sixteen Foot Bank near Christchurch has been closed for most of this morning (Thursday) while emergency services dealt with a crash.

The incident, which happened a around 9.07am at the junction with Upwell Road, involved four cars and saw fire, police and ambulance attend.

The road remains closed, but a police spokesman said it should re-open shortly after vehicles have been recovered and the road cleared.

There are no details of the vehicles involved but the spokesman said there were reports of minor injuries to some of the occupants.
