LEARN MOREMembers of Eddie’s Artworks Fenland took part in their first craft fair recently setting up a stall to join in with others at the Trinity Methodist Church in March.
As with all craft fairs the preparation for this event has taken months of hard work making items to sell. From decoupage cards, French knitted necklaces, pin art, stocking holders, pom-pom wreaths and gift tags to name just a few items made by the people Eddie's support.
It was a group effort so those who couldn’t help on the stall on the day had there input by labelling and pricing, and helping to set up the stall at Artworks first to see if they had the right props to make an eye catching display.
Kathryn, Alex and Michael came to serve the customers on the big day which was very well turned out. The group raised in total £72 profit.
The group was also hoping to raise £60 to go towards “Toilet Twinning” a charity that builds a toilet in a village in a country that hasn’t got one. The group put a paper sleeve around toilet rolls with a snowman’s face on to sell at the fair, they raised £18 towards this cause
Making a complete total of £90 pounds raised on the day.
Eddie’s Artworks next Social event will be taking part in St Peter's Christmas tree festival in March on December 10.
