Elm Primary School is gearing up to celebrate its 150th birthday and would like to hear from past pupils.

The school is asking former pupils to rummage through their lofts and loan memorabilia, such as photographs, for a special exhibition.

They are also invited to write a letter to current pupils, sharing one or two memories of their school days. The school is hoping to get memories right back to the 1930s.

An open day is planned for Saturday, October 19 and it is hoped many former pupils will come along to see how the school has changed.

• Items should be taken to the school.
