An author will be sharing what really happened to King John’s Treasure.

Storyteller Maureen James will be giving a talk in Wisbech Library on Tuesday, November 18, on her latest book Cambridgeshire Folk Tales.

She will be sharing a tale collected by W H Barrett, on what really happened as King John made his way from Lynn to Swineshead in 1216.

The Wisbech Library event is one of a series that will be taking place in the county over the next few weeks, during which Maureen will tell, read or talk about the stories from the collection of over 30 traditional tales.

Tickets for the event, which runs from 7pm until 9pm, cost just £2, which includes refreshments, and are available from the library or by calling 0345 045 5225.
