A woman who battled against Leukemia will be running pilates sessions to help others who are living with or recovering from cancer.
Lilla Wilmerson was diagnosed five years ago but was helped by exercise.
Now she will be putting on 45 minutes class in South Lynn Community Centre, starting on Wednesday, February 3, at 2.30pm. The session, which will be followed by a social, is organised in association with Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s Macmillan Cancer Care and West Norfolk Community Cancer Support.
She said: “I found gentle exercising helped me to recover more quickly while I was in hospital. I am really looking forward to meeting everyone will joining us at the sessions. “
Macmillan patient information manager Vicky Mitchell said: “If you are living with or after cancer, being physically active can be a positive change to make and has lots of benefits.” PICTURE: SUPPLIED
