Car fire in Colvile Road, Wisbech being treated as arson




Emergency services are treating a car fire in Wisbech on Monday evening as deliberate.

A crew from the town was called to Colville Road at 7.58pm to reports of a car on fire.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters extinguished the blaze and were at the scene until around 8.50pm.

The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate.

A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Police said: “We received a report of a car fire in Colvile Road, Wisbech, at about 8.30pm Monday night.

“There were no injuries and no arrests. A crime of arson has been raised and filed pending any further investigative lines of enquiry coming to light.”
