BETTY (86) from Holbeach was delighted recently when her caregiver Margaret made a family re-union possible, by accompanying her to her grandson’s wedding.
Home Instead Senior Care, who provide care to older people in their own homes, have cared for Betty for 10 months, when she was matched up with her caregiver Margaret. Since then the pair have become firm friends.
Betty, who has lost some of her mobility, relies on Margaret to help her get out and about. So when Betty was invited to her grandson’s wedding in Norfolk, she asked Margaret to accompany her. Margaret was delighted with her invite and more than happy to drive the 21 miles to the beautiful Narborough Hall Gardens, where the service was held.
Betty added, “I was so pleased that Margaret was able to take me to my grandson’s wedding. It was such a wonderful day and I was grateful to be a part of it. I really couldn’t have been there without her help. I only hope she enjoyed herself as much as I did!”
