Chance for a behind the scenes look at Ella the plesiosaur at Fossils Galore in March

Dinosaur fans are being offered the chance to meet the team behind the discovery of a plesiosaur in a Cambridgeshire field.

On Saturday December18, the dig team for the plesiosaur nicknamed Ella will be at Fossils Galore in March High Street.

It's a chance to come see the behind the scenes of how volunteers clean and research the skeleton of Ella. A chance to speak to the experts about any fossils or dinosaur questions you may have, and resident palaeontologist Jamie Jordan will also be on hand to answer all questions.

Come speak to the team that was there to dig and discover each bone of Ella, hear their experiences and see the next steps in preserving this plesiosaur skeleton.

Be the first to see the majority of this skeleton since it was excavated back in May 2021.
