The pitches are booking up fast for the Horsefair Shopping Centre’s fourth charity car boot sale which will help raise much needed funds for the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
The top floor of the centre’s car park will be opened up on Bank Holiday Monday, 26th August for the sale with all proceeds going to the charity. The East Anglian Air Ambulance is a 365-day helicopter emergency medical service covering Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. Earlier this year the centre’s car boot sale raised £281.71 for Macmillan Cancer Support
Once again residents in Wisbech are being encouraged to dig out their unwanted goods and book a pitch. On the day cars will be charged £5 and a car with a trailer will be £10. All of the booking fees will be donated to the charity.
Horsefair manager, Kevin Smith said: “Car boot sales are a great way to help raise money for charity and bag yourself a bargain. There are still pitches available and I want to encourage shoppers to come along and browse the sale, which is free to enter. I’m sure local people will agree that the East Anglian Air Ambulance is a great organisation to receive any funds raised, enabling them to continue the great work they do saving lives.”
Those interested in taking a pitch will need to pre-book at the centre’s Kodak store on the Horsefair bus station, or by telephoning the Horsefair’s centre manager on 01945 584109.
The event will run from 8am – 1pm and entrance for buyers on the day will be free and there will be unrestricted parking on the ground floor all day. Those taking pitches are being encouraged to set up from 7am.
