March charity supporting adults with learning and physical disabilities holding MacMillan coffee morning
A March-based charity is holding a MacMillan coffee morning.
FACET, of March, supports adults with varying learning and physical disabilities, autism, mental health
problems, or head injury victims, to reach their full potential.
The charity focuses on ability, not disability, and the Community Pathways Project Wednesday team will be holding the event at its Darthill Road charity shop on Wednesday, September 24, 10.30am-noon. There will also be a surprise prize bingo, with eyes down at 11am.
A spokesman said: “Many of us have been impacted by cancer and know the helpless feeling that comes with it, so we decided to run a MacMillan coffee morning to raise money.
“It has taken lots of planning, walking round our town pricing up cake ingredients, making posters and collecting prizes.
“Our friends at March library have helped us out with ideas, and we have done lots of research on what makes a great event.”
