After a six month pause for revaluation, the new Chatteris Community Archive website is to be launched by March 8.
The old site containing the naming “hotspots” for recognised faces can, for the moment, be seen on www.ccan.co.uk by going through the ‘archived’ links on the Cambridgeshire site.
The much friendlier catalogued new site will be available on the direct access address of www.chatteris.ccan.co.uk on a ‘read only’ basis until the live launch on March 8 will allow access for contributors to add images or comments.
The “At Home” quarterly events will recommence in the Vermuyden room on Friday March 1 from 2pm to 5pm where non computer owners can be guided through the site on the library screens and a set of Cromwell school paper photos will be displayed for recognition of names and most importantly dates by 1950-60 ex-pupils.
Can you identify the school event in this picture? If so, Chatteris Community Archive wants to hear from you.
