Due to a lack of volunteers Chatteris Community Cinema was in danger of closing. It is a tribute to the founder members that so many from the audience came forward to offer their services. These film lovers span the generations from teens to eighties.
They are grateful to have three founder members still in the team who have helped the new members take over the reins. Additional, invaluable, support has come from Bill and Ruth Haggatta, the previous chairman and treasurer, without whom the Cinema would never have started.
Screened at the King Edward Centre, films will continue to be shown on the second Saturday of each month, one for the children at 3pm and for the adults there is one at 7.30. The next films on December 8 are Arthur Christmas and the hilarious Salmon Fishing in the Yemen. To reserve tickets call 07759 049619
