Chatteris driver arouses police suspicions and officers find drugs and knife in car




Drugs and a knife were found in a car that was spotted by police being driven in a suspicious manner in a Fenland town.
Posting to their Facebook page on Friday evening Fenland police said: "Officers witnessed this vehicle driving in a suspicious manner through Chatteris recently.
"Local neighbourhood officers and those from the Fenland response team stopped the vehicle where upon it being searched a large quantity of drugs and items typically related to drug dealing were found.

"Also found in the vehicle was a lock knife. One person was arrested at the scene for possession with the intent to supply class B drugs and possession of a bladed article.

"Upon inspecting the vehicle further it was also in need of two new rear tyres with both having below the legal limit of tread depth. A traffic offence report was also issued. Our investigation continues."
